You are required to record source account information for all deposits in your transaction in section C2 of the Receipt of Funds Record (RoF). You can either send an info request to your client to complete the information, or enter it manually yourself.
Follow these steps to enter the information manually:
1. In section C2, enter the account number of the account where the funds are coming from. (Careful - if you are using a bank draft, this is not the number on the front of the bank draft. Bank drafts do not include origins account information. You must obtain this information by asking your client the account number.)
2. Enter the name of the account holder. (The person who owns the account the money is coming from - this should be your client.)
3. Enter the name of the financial institution where the account is held.
4. Select the type of account from the drop-down list.
5. Under "Did the client provide their financial account information?" Select "yes."
You are now ready to move on to section D, where you provide information about the entity providing the funds.
