When representing a corporation in a transaction, you need to enter the corporation's address in section A1 of the Corporate Identification Information Record (CIIR).
To avoid rejected records due to errors in the address field of the CIIR, follow this guidance:
Take the address from the Articles of Incorporation (AoI): This is where you will find the corporation's officially registered business address. Some corporations may have multiple offices, but you should enter the address listed on the AoI.
Unit: Use this section for suite or unit numbers. The building number does not go in this field. If there is no unit, leave this field blank.
Street Address: In this section, write the house or building number, and the street name.
Accuracy is crucial: Carefully review the entered address for spelling errors and ensure all characters match the address on the ID exactly. Any discrepancy between the CIIR, the Agreement of Purchase and Sale (APS), and the Articles of Incorporation will result in a rejected record.
