Context
- Lead generation is very expensive, and Zolo invests significantly year to generate leads for our agents
- A customer has multiple ways to connect with our agents: phone call, email, and by SMS, all through Zolo’s internal tracking system
- Our system tracks the origins of each lead so that we know if our digital marketing is working
- Zolo customer service policy and the Real Estate boards across Canada require Zolo to have a valid contact number and email address for all consumers using our Real Estate services
- When a customer makes a contact request through our tracking system, this customer will always be considered a Zolo deal. Zolo paid a customer acquisition cost to bring that customer into our platform.

Exceptions to this rule are included in ‘Personal Leads’.
Personal Leads
A personal lead is defined as any of the following:
- Immediate family members of Agent doing transaction: parents, siblings, married partner, and children

Commission Splits
| Splits by Consecutive Months | Zolo Leads Agent Splits Percentage | Agent Personal Lead Percentage |
|---|---|---|
| 1st Deal | 50% | 80% or 100% |
| 2nd Consecutive Deal | 55% | 80% or 100% |
| 3rd Consecutive Deal | 60% | 80% or 100% |
| 4th Consecutive Deal | 65% | 80% or 100% |
Please note that you must complete a deal of the same classification in consecutive months in order for your split to Zolo to decrease each month.
Example 1 - if you make a Firm sale in January and the split was 50/50, then you would need to also make a firm sale in February in order for the split to reduce to 55/45. If you were to make a firm lease, but not a firm sale in February, then your split for the lease would be 50/50.
Example 2 - if you make one firm Zolo sale and also one firm personal sale in the same month, you would be entitled to receive the personal deal at 100% minus transaction fee. The same goes if you have one Zolo lease and one personal lease in the same month.
In order to count as a consecutive month deal, only sales count towards sales, and only leases count towards leases.
*** All Zolo Lease Leads are 65 / 35 Split ( with 0 transaction fee )***
All Purchases and Sales are Subject to a Transaction Fee of $495.00
Personal Lease Transaction Fee $195.00 on 100%
To Maintain 65% on the Zolo Purchase / Sale Leads and to Maintain the 100% on Personal Deals: Agents Must Complete Minimum of 1 Firm Zolo Deal Consecutively, Each Month. Otherwise Zolo Leads Default back to a 50/50 Split, and Personal Deals Default to an 80/20 Split.
After agents complete $55k net commission to Zolo, the commission split will remain at 65/35 on all subsequent Zolo deals, and 100% on all personal deals (minus $495) for the remainder of the calendar year.
* New Registrants Must Complete 5 or More Lease Transactions Prior to Receiving Buyer Leads
